Mould treatments
Depending on how bad the mould is will depend on what action is needed.
We offer different mould spray solutions to help clean the area affected to prevent the mould from coming back. We can advise the best solution from a site visit
French drain system
In cases where damp issues stem from higher outside ground levels compared to your floor level, we offer a solution with our French drain installation. Whether addressing this specific problem or enhancing overall drainage, our process involves cutting concrete or creating a 4-6-inch wide channel along the wall. We dig into the ground to ensure proper water drainage, using small stones or a plastic channel drain. This preventive measure helps combat damp walls by preventing water from sitting next to the bricks, reducing the risk of water absorption and potential damp issues. Depending on various factors, we may recommend complementing this solution with our injection cream system for added security and peace of mind.
Epoxy Flooring System
For properties experiencing issues with damp floors, particularly problematic for floor coverings like carpets and wood floors, our solution lies in our epoxy flooring system. Our special two-part, thick epoxy resin creates a waterproof seal—usually achieved with just one coat, though we may add a second in some cases. This cost-effective solution can be efficiently installed in a few hours, ensuring minimal disruption and mess. The epoxy floor resin dries hard, sealing the concrete or hard standing and preventing damp. Once dry, you can confidently place your choice of floor covering over the epoxy resin, knowing it will stay dry. Alternatively, if you prefer the smooth, hardwearing finish of the epoxy resin on its own, we offer various colours to suit your preferences.
Ventilation fans / heat recovery fans
Heat recovery fans play a crucial role in humidity control and condensation prevention. Our heat exchange ventilation units offer a continuous air change with minimal heat loss. Typically, we install these fans in bathrooms, toilet rooms, and kitchens, a process usually completed within a maximum of one day. Installation involves drilling a hole for the fan size on an external wall, ensuring proper placement for optimal functionality. The fan's area fitting depends on the room's specifics to ensure effective operation. Wiring is then undertaken by an electrician, a service we're pleased to provide or can be supplied independently.
Rotting floor timbers / wood treatments
Addressing common issues in old buildings, such as rotten wood and woodworm, is crucial, particularly when it comes to rotten floor timbers. Early intervention is key to avoid costly whole floor replacements. Depending on the wood type and affected area, we offer a range of treatments for rotten wood and woodworm. Some treatments are spray-applied, while others are brushed on. In certain cases, we can replace damaged wood sections. Our experienced team can also replace entire wooden floors if necessary, providing a comprehensive service that includes supplying and fitting new flooring with added wood treatments for lasting durability. To determine the best course of action, a site visit is necessary for a thorough assessment before offering a tailored solution.
